LOT 3145
A collection of mid to late 20th century engraving tools, optics, print rollers and other tools used by the late Alan Dow in the manufacturing process of banknotes and stamps, together with a small group of engraved and part-engraved steel plates, some photographic slides of works and a small group of die proof works and associated works (most stuck down to card and impaired). Provenance: from the personal archive of the late Alan Dow, master banknote engraver to Bradbury Wilkinson & Co and the Bank of England.
