A group of twelve rare Central Bank of Nepal banknote progressive die proof portrait vignettes of King Mahendra Vira Vikrama in military uniform with white cap, colour trials in green, mauve and black on oversized paper/card with near full-plate margins (all extremely fine, some handling marks). Note: this style of portrait was used on notes issued circa 1972. Provenance: from the personal archive of the late Alan Dow, master banknote engraver to Bradbury Wilkinson & Co and the Bank of England.
