A late 18th century French ormolu and white marble mantel clock, the eight day movement with silk suspension striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the 5-inch enamelled convex dial with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, with red Arabic numeral outer date ring and inner day ring, inscribed 'Louis Goret a Paris', the case with flower filled jardinière surmount above cornucopia supports, on a bowfront base with foliate panels, on turned feet, height 35.5cm, with pendulum (some faults).
