An unusual Chelsea porcelain Mazarine blue ground teacup and saucer, gold anchor period, circa 1760, both pieces painted with five panels of children within gilt foliate framed arched panels above a gilt trellis border, the entwined handle with foliate terminals, gilt dentil rims, gold painted anchor mark to bases, diameter of saucer 13.8cm (cup cracked). Note: two similar cups were sold at Bonhams Knightsbridge, 20th May 2015, Lot 92.
