A Meissen porcelain teapot and cover, 18th/early 19th century, painted with a Kauffahrtei scene of merchants and their wares by a quayside opposing a riverside view, within gilt foliate scroll frames surrounded by scattered insects, a floral sprig beneath the handle and spout, the similarly painted cover with pinecone finial, with animal head spout and rocaille handle, crossed swords in underglaze blue to base with indistinct painted numerals, height 9cm (repairs to cover and handle).
