A large late Victorian cast iron Dixon & Simpson's Patent table or bench-top cartridge packing machine by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, with turned wood handle and pull-down mechanism, the ornate scrolling openwork sides supported on a wood base, with one packing tray for 12-bore cartridges and two brass trays, probably for crimping, height 43cm, width 36cm, length 107cm, together with an early 20th century cast iron bench-top packing machine. Provenance: the property of a Hampshire private collector.
