A Victorian gold and enamelled pendant, designed as a Tudor rose with a central cameo portrait of young Queen Victoria, the back with a glazed hair locket compartment and detailed ‘H.R.H. Princess Royal 25 Jan 1858’, with later replacement suspension fittings, unmarked, weight 9.4g, length 3.3cm, with a gold neckchain on a boltring clasp, detailed ‘9k’, weight 0.8g, length 45.5cm, with a later case, together with a letter from the V&A Museum. Note: 25th January 1858 was the date of the wedding of Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, Victoria Princess Royal, to the Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm of Prussia at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace.
