A gold backed, silver set and diamond necklace, second half 19th century, mounted at intervals with eight principal foil-backed rose cut diamonds, otherwise mounted with old cut cushion shaped diamonds in a scrolling and foliate design, fitted to a later gold Byzantine link neckchain spaced with pearls at intervals, on a cylindrical clasp, unmarked, weight 22.4g, total diamond weight approx 7.50-8.50ct, length of diamond set section only 12.2cm, total length of necklace 39cm.
