A Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Alarm 9ct gold circular cased gentleman's wristwatch, the signed and jewelled P489/1 caliber movement numbered '1154945', the signed silvered dial with gilt Arabic numerals and tapered baton hour markers and central rotating alarm disc, the case back with engraved initials 'M.L' and numbered '15107', London 1959, case diameter 3.1cm, on a black leather strap. Provenance: this watch was originally owned by Sir Martin Lindsay, 1st Baronet (1905-1981), who was a British Army officer, polar explorer, politician and author. He gifted it to the current vendor's grandfather.
