A large Japanese Arita Imari porcelain circular charger, Meiji period, painted and gilt with panels of figures, ho-o birds, Buddhistic lions and foliate mon, on a ground of peony and scrolling leaf tendrils, underglaze blue seal mark to base, diameter 62cm (hairline cracks to rim).
