A Hadley's Worcester Faience two-handled jar and cover, late 19th century, the bulbous body reserved with four blush ground panels, one painted in aesthetic style with a bird on a rose branch watching a butterfly, the other three with rose branches, each within a dark blue glazed moulded frame surrounded by green and turquoise glazed moulded detail, the chinoiserie style handles with Buddhistic lion mask terminals, the cover pierced, puce printed and red painted marks to base, height 21cm (cover lacking finial).
