LOWE, E.J. Our Native Ferns. London: Groombridge and Sons, 1865-1867. 2 vols., 4to (243 x 150mm.) 79 chromolithographed plates. (Toning, occasional offsetting.) Near contemporary green half morocco, red and black morocco lettering pieces to the spines (extremities rubbed, minor scuffing). – And a further eight miscellaneous volumes (including Fridtjof Nansen’s ‘Farthest North’, 2 vols., 1898, 8vo, and Bury Palliser’s ‘Historic Devices, Badges and War-Cries’, 1870, 8vo) (10).
