WATHEN, James. Journal of a Voyage, in 1811 and 1812, to Madras and China, Returning by the Cape of Good Hope and St. Helena. London: J. Nichols et al., 1814. First edition, 4to (268 x 209mm.) Engraved portrait frontispiece of the author, 16 hand-coloured aquatint plates. (Lacking 6 plates and the publisher’s advertisements to rear, offsetting to title, toning.) Near contemporary half red morocco (lacking spine, lower cover detached, worn). [Abbey, Travel 517.] – And a further two volumes (including Thomas Williams and William Ward’s ‘All Religions and Religious Ceremonies’, 1823, 8vo) (3).
