(lX and XX only), third edition, 4to (258 x 203mm.) Includes the entry for ‘Legerdemain’ on p.756-775, with the 2 engraved plates relating to conjuring, several other engraved plates, including 7 relating to ‘Hydrostatics’, and a map of Ireland. (Toning, occasional creasing.) Contemporary calf (covers detached, lacking upper cover to volume lX). – And a further volume (L. Simonin’s ‘La Vie Souterraine ou Les Mines et Les Mineurs’, 1867, 4to) (3).
