Original publisher’s deluxe binding with a gilt urn and decorative gilt surround, g.e. (rubbing to extremities). Provenance: Mrs. Whyte (gift inscribed to on the initial blank); Mr. H. Mackay (gift inscribed from on the initial blank). – And a further eight volumes (‘The Plays of William Shakespeare’, edited by Alexander Chalmers, 8 vols., 1847, 8vo) (9).
