LOT 1938
A double series opaque twist stem wine glass, circa 1770, the pan-topped bowl engraved with fruiting vine to the rim, raised on a plain stem with a pair of heavy spiral threads outside a lace twist, on a conical foot, height 15.5cm, together with two other double series opaque twist stem engraved wines and a single series opaque twist example, height 14.5cm (minor faults). Provenance: Arthur Henry Green, a private collector from Enfield, died 1953. Thence by descent.
