A Carlton Ware Guinness Toucan advertising lampbase, modelled with a toucan standing beside a pint of Guinness on an inscribed oval green base, with original shade, black printed factory marks to base, height of toucan 23cm (repaired through feet of bird). Provenance: from the estate of the Late Raymond Briggs, the world renowned author and illustrator of The Snowman, Father Christmas and Fungus The Bogeyman. Note: Brigg's refers to this lamp in his poem 'Waiting'.
