A George V 1897 pattern officer's dress sword by Heny Wilkinson, number '482553', with dumbbell-section blade, blade length 82cm, detailed 'Presented to 8th R.T.R. by Captain S.P.M. Sutton. M.C.', nickel-finished bowl guard and wire-bound fishskin grip, with black-finished leather scabbard and belt suspension, together with a 'Kohima Company, Course 23... 1966' group photograph and two other photographs of Michael Witherell in service. Provenance: formerly the property of Michael John Witherell, Royal Armoured Corps, thence by family descent.
