A 19th century Japanese katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 58cm, the tang signed to one side, and lacquer bark-effect grip, with similarly covered wood scabbard (split to grip), together with another 19th/early 20th century Japanese sword with straight single-edged blade, blade length 55cm, the tang unsigned, and lacquer bark-effect grip, with similarly covered scabbard (overall losses to covering).
