LOT 360
A late 19th century Indian colonial silver presentation bottle and domed cover with reeded knop finial, the globular body chased with a band of signs of the zodiac within stiff leaf and lattice borders, beneath a tapering cylindrical neck further decorated with leaf scrolls and presentation engraved 'Presented by His Highness the Maharaj Rana of Dholpur for Trap Shooting, Shot for by Members of the Ootacamuno Gymkhana Won by C.H.B. Burlton' and 'Won on 29th July, 26th August and 2nd September 1895', stamped maker's mark for P. Orr & Sons of Madras, weight 1849.4g, height 49cm.
