A rare pair of English porcelain blind beggar figures, mid-19th century, modelled as a seated man and woman, he proffering his hat for donations, she with a bowl wearing a sign inscribed 'Have Pity on the Blind', raised on green glazed octagonal bases, relief moulded with foliate scrolls, unmarked, heights 24cm and 26cm (some minor restoration).
