British School — Jordan [Pamela Rooke] and an Unidentified Punk Rocker, acrylic with airbrush on canvas, indistinctly signed and dated 1977, 173cm x 101.5cm. Note: Pamela Rooke was a pivotal figure in the British punk rock scene of the 1970s. Rooke worked for Sex, the fashion boutique founded by Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McClaren, and is credited as one of the originators of the punk rock aesthetic. This painting is an intriguing contemporary portrayal of an iconic figure at the zenith of the punk rock era.
