A Chinese famille rose and iron red ground porcelain circular bowl, mark of Qianlong but early 20th century, with French silver gilt mounts forming a smoking companion, the bowl painted with four flower roundels reserved against an iron red ground with gilt decoration, underglaze blue seal mark to base, the silver gilt cover with various apertures and depressions, engraved with fenghuang and blossoming prunus branches, the silver gilt circular foot similarly decorated, detailed 'Maquet Paris Nice' to rim, diameter 18cm, height 13cm.
