An 18th century Continental walnut cassone, the hinged lid above a front panel carved with two opposing soldiers on horseback commencing battle, flanked by flower-charged urns, the side panels also carved with flowering urns, height 82cm, width 171cm, depth 65cm (later carving and some historic woodworm).
