Edinburgh: Thomson Bonar and John Brown, 1805-1808. 5 vols., 8vo (210 x 127mm.) 5 engraved title-pages, 105 engraved plates, and extra-illustrated with a further 14 plates, 2pp. advertisement to front of vol.1 and 4pp. publisher's advertisement to rear of vol. 1. (Occasional browning, minor spotting.) Contemporary marbled calf (fading to spines, light rubbing to extremities). Provenance: John Franks (bookplates to front pastedowns). - And a further nine volumes relating to Scotland (including vol. 2 of J.F. Campbell's 'Popular Tales of the West Highlands', 1860, 8vo) (14).
