BIBLE, In English. The Universal Bible: Or, Every Christian Family's Best Treasure. Containing the Sacred Text of the Old and New Testament at Large. London: J. Coote, 1758. Folio (410 x 262mm.) Title in red and black, 46 engraved plates including 3 maps, separate titles dated 1759 for NT and 'Apocrypha', 26pp. 'Index' to rear. (Browning, occasional marginal damp-staining, marginal tear and loss to 5C, 2 plates with large tears to margins, 1 plate with closed tear, front blank replaced.) Contemporary panelled calf (rebacked, endpapers replaced).
