Ernst Seger - an early 20th century German brown patinated cast bronze full-length figure of a nude female with her arms folded behind her back, bearing cast signature and dated 1912, raised on a rouge marble plinth, height 35cm. Note: Seger, a sculptor and medallist, studied from 1884 at the Breslau Art School. In 1893 he travelled to Paris to work in the studio of Auguste Rodin. After his return, he led his own studio in Berlin and became famous for his Art Nouveau female nude figures.
