British School - a late 18th/early 19th century circular half-length portrait miniature of Lieutenant General Paul Anderson, Colonel of the 78th Highlanders, watercolour on ivory, the glazed rear compartment containing a lock of hair and bearing inscribed label, diameter 5.3cm, together with two other miniatures by the same hand, depicting 'Lady Elizabeth Paul nee Wallis' and 'Ellen Bolton nee Wallis', both labelled to reverse. Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of this item. Provenance: family descent from Lieutenant-General Paul Anderson to the current vendor. Formerly at Grace Dieu, Waterford.
