A rare George III wind-out paper horse racing panorama, titled 'Going to Epsom Races', by Henry Alken, bearing partial paper label detailing 'A Ludicrious Amusement Consisting of Modern Costume, Characters, Dandies, Equipages and Horsemanship... 1819', the continuous strip mounted to a spindle and contained within a turned boxwood case with ring turned handle, the exterior with similar applied etching with aquatint, length of strip 453cm (some wear and faults).
