A pair of Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases, Meiji period, each baluster body painted and gilt with opposing panels of samurai and rakan within moulded framing, reserved against a ground of further figural and simulated brocade panels, gilt and black signature and Shimazu mon to bases, height 19.5cm (chip to rim of one), together with a Satsuma earthenware koro by Kusube, Meiji period, decorated with figural and floral panels, gilt and iron red signature to base, height 10.6cm (lacking cover).
