A Chinese Ming-style blue and white porcelain yuhuchunping vase, mark of Qianlong and possibly of the period, of pear shaped form rising to a flared trumpet neck, the body painted in vivid tones of underglaze blue with plantain and bamboo growing beside a fence and rocks, below a ruyi-head collar and bands of scrolling tendrils and upright plantain leaves, the slightly splayed circular foot with a row of nine lotus flowers, underglaze blue seal mark to base, height 28.9cm.
