A fine pair of Stourbridge engraved decanters and stoppers, probably Northwood for Richardson, circa 1860-70, of flattened circular form with reeded loop handles and domed circular feet, the first with a Roman warrior riding in a chariot, the second with a lion attacking an anguiped, each opposing a monogram, within geometric and stylized foliate banded detail, blown stoppers, height 22cm, together with a similar single-handled ewer, height 33cm (crack to upper handle terminal of ewer). Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.
