A Japanese Fukagawa porcelain tea service, Meiji period, comprising teapot and cover, milk jug and cover, sugar bowl and cover, eleven cups and saucers, eleven side plates and pair of cake plates, each finely painted and gilt with scenes of children at play amidst bamboo within simulated brocade borders, underglaze blue marks to most bases, height of teapot 19.5cm (one side plate with minor rim chip, one cup with minor firing crack to rim).
