A Chinese famille rose export porcelain teapot and cover, Qianlong period, the globular body painted with figures in landscape, height 13.2cm (hairline to handle), together with another Chinese famille rose export teapot and cover, the globular body painted with peony sprays, later applied with a silver scroll spout, height 13.4cm. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
