LOT 1135
A Chinese blue and white export porcelain bowl, mark and period of Kangxi, of steep-sided circular form with slightly flared rim, the exterior painted with fruiting vine, underglaze blue six-character mark within double ring to base, height 10.7cm, diameter 22.3cm (extensively damaged, repaired and some losses to rim), with a carved hardwood stand. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
