A Chinese sang-de-boeuf glazed porcelain beehive water coupe, mark of Kangxi but later Qing dynasty, of hemispherical form, underglaze blue six-character mark to base, height 9.1cm (minor rim chip). Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
