A Chinese wucai porcelain jar and cover, Transitional period (mid-17th century), the ovoid body painted with peony and rocks, height 12.3cm. Provenance: from the private collection of David Armitage, former conservator to the Department of Eastern Art at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, between 1970 and 1999.
