A white glazed Derby Crown Porcelain Company swan-lipped ewer vase or jug, 1880s, the ovoid body surmounted by a swan, its neck and moulded reeds forming the handle, underglaze blue printed factory mark to base, height 28.7cm, together with a royal Crown Derby Japan pattern plate, dated 1905, diameter 25.5cm. Note: the design of the swan jug was originally produced by the Daniel Porcelain factory circa 1825-1830, being based on Sèvres originals.
