A Ridgway bluish-mauve earthenware jug, circa 1835-40, of octagonal baluster shape, painted in gilt enriched black enamel with chinoiserie figures in landscapes, iron red painted pattern No. 158 to base, height 19.5cm, together with twenty-one other Ridgway pottery jugs, mostly bluish-mauve and decorated with flowers, but also including a graduated set of three green pottery examples, painted with floral bands, and a similar green example, painted with birds. Provenance: from the collection of the late Graham and Rhiannon Berridge.
