A Ridgway bluish-mauve pottery part dessert service, circa 1830-40, pattern No. 57, enamelled and gilt with a central cornucopia of flowers within a border of floral stems, the shaped rims moulded with flowerheads and scrolls, comprising pierced two-handled footed centrepiece, sauce tureen and cover with integral stand, four two-handled square dishes, length 28cm, five two-handled oblong dishes, length 29.5cm, one two-handled circular dish and seventeen plates, diameter 23.5cm, together with a small group of similar Ridgway dessert wares, painted in pattern Nos. 267 and 44. Provenance: from the collection of the late Graham and Rhiannon Berridge.
