A late 19th century French majolica mantel clock, possibly by Viellard, with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the white enamelled dial with blue Roman hour numerals, the aubergine glazed circular case decorated with polychrome blossoming branches, beneath and flanked by a green glazed Buddhistic lion surmount and lion mask and tongue handles, height 27.5cm, with pendulum (faults and repairs).
