A late 19th century French gilt lacquered brass grande sonnerie calendar carriage alarm clock with eight day movement striking and repeating on two gongs, the enamelled dial with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes above subsidiary alarm and date and day dials, the gorge case with bevelled glass panels and swing handle, the top panel with enamelled inscription 'James Henry Scott Douglas Royal Scots Fusiliers', the underside with three position setting lever for 'Hours and Quarters', 'Silent' and 'Quarters Only', height 17.8cm (dial restored), with winding key and a tooled green leather travelling case.
