A late 19th century French brass carriage alarm clock with eight day movement repeating and striking hours and half hours on a gong, the cream chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals above a similar subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic hours, within a matt gilt surround, the centre detailed 'CHS.J. Gaupp & Co Hong Kong', the bevelled glass panelled case with reeded handle and Corinthian corner columns, on a plinth base and bracket feet, height 19.4cm.
