A gold mounted oval shell cameo brooch, early 19th century, the glazed cameo designed as a sorrowful standing figure of a lady beside a pedestal, unmarked, weight 7.5g, width 3.4cm, and a circular pendant mourning locket, detailed 'E Mathews died June 11 1807 aged 24', with a hair locket compartment, length 3.7cm.
