A Chinese soapstone figure of Guanyin, probably Kangxi period, finely carved in a seated pose, holding a scroll in her left hand and bead necklace in her right, her long robes with incised decoration and heightened in gilt, with traces of red and green pigment, the green quatrelobed base with incised and gilt decoration, height 15.3cm.
