An impressive Chinese flambé glazed porcelain moonflask, mark of Qianlong but possibly later Qing dynasty, the swollen circular body with onion mouth and cylindrical neck, flanked by a pair of scroll handles with ruyi-head moulded terminals, above a pair of opposing relief moulded boss to each side, on a rounded oblong foot, each side and foot covered in a purple and pale blue streaky glaze, the neck and sides predominantly pale blue with purple streaks, impressed Qianlong seal mark to base, height 40.6cm.
