A Chinese Ming-style cloisonné vase, mark of Jingtai but later, of archaistic zun form, the trumpet neck, cushion form body and flared foot with vertical flanges, all decorated with polychrome peony flowerheads and scrolling leafy tendrils on a turquoise ground, incised apocryphal four-character mark of Jingtai and impressed vishvavajra motif to gilt base, height 18.6cm.
