A Worcester purple printed coffee cup and saucer, circa 1765, both with scenes of Classical ruins, the saucer with the Obelisk and Temple of Minerva Medica, diameter of saucer 11.8cm. Provenance: the property of Michael Godfrey. Saucer with Juno Antiques label. Note: the print on the saucer is considered to be by James Ross, a pupil of Robert Hancock. The source of the print is after an engraving by J.S. Muller after Pannini, dated 1753 (minor faults).
