Hine Vintage 1986 Cognac Grande Champagne, landed in 1987, bottled in 2001 (1). Note: this Hine 1986 Early Landed Vintage Cognac was shipped in a cask to Bristol in 1987, where it remained in a cask until 2001, when it was bottled following a visit from Bernard Hine to check on the condition of all the Cognac stored at Wickwar Cellar. In 1993 it was described by Bernard Hine as Gold in colour - round, light wood and flower shows finesse and softness with discrete vanilla tones. It was the first time Hine had introduced a vanilla strip to the Cask, giving a unique flavour. Cask no. 103. From a private collection.
