A rare William IV silver rectangular snuff box, the hinged lid cast in relief with the scene of 'Mr Pickwick Addresses the Club', after the original etched illustration by Robert Seymour for 'The Posthumous Papers of The Pickwick Club' by Charles Dickens, the thumbpiece and borders cast with flowers and scrolls, the sides reeded with engine turned base, the interior gilt, Birmingham 1834 by Thomas Shaw, weight 187.9g, length 8.5cm.
